No, the vent went away with the MK5 (2005.5) models. There has not been a vent since then.

Just curious, does anyone know why VAG ever put a fuel vent on MK-4 vehicles in the first place? Seems to be a very popular thing to delete. There has to be a reason why it is there to begin with?

Yes your tank is vented. It just doesn't have the little burp button in the filler neck.

They used the gasser fuel tank system on the diesels as well... and the gasser tank needed the venting system.
