I've read somewhere that Chevron had the highest cetane on average, around
52...???
52...???
If that number is correct, then it must be OUTSIDE California because here the spec is "equal to or greater than" 53.I've read somewhere that Chevron had the highest cetane on average, around

A relative of mine who worked for Chevron said that they did the bare minimum to meet federal standards. But that was probably 20 years ago.If that number is correct, then it must be OUTSIDE California because here the spec is "equal to or greater than" 53.
filled up today in Metro Denver at my nearest Shell, $2.149 for RUG, D2 was $2.189.. I only fill up once a month right now, last time was about $2.40 and RUG was close to $2.. I'm glad to see em getting close, my vacation is coming up and I'll be towing a camper.
Hi DaveHeeeyy! A Fellow Coloradan!!
I just filled up at Shell on Briargate/Academy in Colorado Springs for $2.17/gal
That is cheaper than in California! It is $2.61 USD at the casino station around the corner; the Chevron stations in town are $3.05.Diesel prices in the US of A are something we can only dream about in Canada.
I fueled up at busy OFF brand station on Tuesday and the adjusted for US gallon and exchange was $ 2.49 @ $0.919 liter. If I would have gone to a Brand name station the cost would be $ 2.93 @ $ 1.109 liter.
On my drive south I find the most expensive Diesel is in Michigan and it progressively gets lower with the least expensive being in Texas.
Guess you missed the LITER part...That is cheaper than in California! It is $2.61 USD at the casino station around the corner; the Chevron stations in town are $3.05.
Yes he did:Guess you missed the LITER part...
He did not price it per gallon...
He did adjust it for USA $$.
Ha,ha, ha I think it 's the opposite, my mileage driving about 2,000 miles every fall from Detroit to Laredo and back in the spring. My mileage is usually very high, but that could be because it is almost exclusively on Interstates with fairly steady speeds and very little city driving. However, Canadian fuel gives more mpg than US fuel; the best mileage I ever got was during a trip to Regina, SK back in 1970. (Yes, I DO know why!)
Ah, remember I did say this was in 1970. You should know why my mpg was higher in Canada than in these United States.Ha,ha, ha I think it 's the opposite, my mileage driving about 2,000 miles every fall from Detroit to Laredo and back in the spring. Yep, Imperial gallons! The vehicle was a 1964 Chevrolet El Camino, 283 cid V8 with a Powerglide automatic transmission.Bigger (Imperial) gallons? or, let's see, no VW diesels in 1970, so what was it?
