VW Rust warranty

A piece of steel on my rear passenger side window frame has a rust attack. It's the metal piece between the main window and the triangular window on the rear door. Any one else have this problem? What's VW's rust warranty?

And from what I am told it has to come from under the paint, so it you have a scratch etc you are out of luck. I have heard of some dealerships offering to change them as they are a know rust problem though.

I know of at least 2 other Jettas (mine included) that have this exact same problem. Mine will definately be rusted through by the time 12 years goes by. It will be interesting to see how VW handles (or doesn't) this little annoyance...
