2000 Jetta Lift Pump?

Does a 2000 TDI Jetta have a lift pump in the tank or is the only supply pump inside the IP like in IDI Volkswagons.

Nope no lift pump in a 2000 TDI. You can put the PD one if you want too. I did that on my car for high speed performance but it also give you nice cold starts as the fuel is pushed into the IP.

idparts has a PD lift pump kit which includes wiring.

No, unless someone added one. Sometimes its done for performance mods if more serious mods have been done and/or to try to "solve" IP or starting issues.
