Good evening, my beloved 2014 JSW (161k miles) started loosing coolant and I am trying to find out where is the leak. The engine is not overheating. I topped off the expansion tank after low coolant light first came on in the morning, and drove approx 200 miles. I noticed small puddle on the driver side next morning. (The expansion tank was empty). Took off the air filter housing. The area around coolant flange on the cylinder head appears dry. There are no visible cracks on the expansion tank. So I am stuck at this point... I did not remove the timing belt cover but I doubt it could be a coolant pump. If it was a pump, than the engine would be overheating? TIA for the help!

Want to know if you did 130k miles timing belt with new water pump? There are an updated version of water pump that comes with metal impeller. OEM vw water pump that came from factory came with plastic impeller. That is not a good thinking at VW’s end.
