Never mind, got it figured out. No towing with DSG, only manual.

"It's your call but I have towed a trailer from new with my 2011 Jetta SportWagen."

Ok, I'm looking to tow a Kendon M/C Trailer with two motorcycles. A BMW R1200RT and an R1200R weighing in at somewhere between 1000 to 1200 pounds.

TIA

I would occasionally to a motorcycle and other race track equipment on a harbor freight trailer when I didn't want to use my big trailer. Probably similar in weight to you. I was usually the only occupant in the vehicle. Mine was a 6MT but I would have no qualms at all about using a DSG. You can barely tell you have anything back there.

I would think more about total weight than the weight of the trailer. If you have 1500lbs on a trailer, four adults, a full trunk, etc, that may be a different story.

just like a lot of things in life, at first it feels strange, maybe a little wrong, but after a while you can't imagine a time you didn't do it!
