Default 2014 jetta tdi steel(winter) wheel size?

Hello all

New owner of a 2014 TDI and excited to drive it. I live in Canada where winter tires are required by law. For winter tires/wheels I used to go 1 size down and I searched this forum with conflicting info. Some say if I go down to 195/65/15 it won't clear the brakes and some say it's ok.
Can anybody confirm this?

yeah? I find it weird that none of the tire websites list that size. My other vehicles always showed the OEM size and one size lower for rims.
