What pins at the ECU on the 1996 Passat Harness.....?

Are the emissions items that were deleted on the 1997 passat TDIs?

I am working on my TDI swap and I'm using a Mk3 donor but swapping in a B4 wiring harness and I'm not certain if its from a 1996 or a 1997 passat and I want to check. Thanks

The 96 has wiring along the right side engine bay for the temp sensors and the 5th injector. Find the harness containing the the MAF plug. look along that branch for a black "D" shaped plug, about 2 inches by one inch, with four connection points inside. One point will be apart from the other three points. That is the plug for the cat temperature sensors on the 1996.
No plug? Not 1996.
