Modification payout?

Has anyone chosen this option yet? If so do they pay you out and wait for a fix or do they make you wait till a fix until payout? No 2015 model please chime in. You guys have a simple software fix.

The "modification" option for our cars does not yet exist. Nobody gets any money until they either sell back their car or get any approved modifications done. For 2009-2014 Jettas and Golfs no fix has yet been officially approved, therefore no cars have been fixed. This means that nobody has been paid for anything other than selling VW their car.

Nobody gets paid for any "fix" until the "fix" is completed. You can't collect your payout until after you get your car fixed. So far we do not know when any fix will be available for 2009-2014 TDIs. If you want the fix, you have no choice but to wait and see what happens.

OK thanks. I'm gonna hold out till the last moment and see if the deal sweetens for a buyback or if they get too close to meeting the backbuy quota and force me to take the deal.
