What types of music files does the RNS 510 read?

Yes, Sorry. There is a cost, but no more than MP3. Also, when I said Universal I was trying to say common, or well understood.

Like I said originally it is most likely processor related, because the higher end of the AAC standard would require MUCH more processing power.

I have a 2013, and I tried a 64GB SDXC, it did not work.

I tried a 64gb card to no avail .

I just run my 80gb classic and files are converted at 320 and sounds decent with the fender system .

So definitely a no-go on a 64gb card in the 2013s... anyone try AAC files on a compatible SD card yet to see if the '13's been upgraded? (pulling the trigger on one on the next 10 days)

Nope, Just MP3 and WMA. The WMA's have to be regular, with no DRM.

Hi all,

I read this forum and i don't think I understand.

I want to put CD format files on my 32 GB SD card. Does the SD reader play WAV files?

Thanks

Hence why I said it 1 post above yours. No difference in quality at the same bit rates. MP3 is more universal, and is typically a smaller file for the same bit rate vs WMA.

I struggled with the duplicate/trash files when using an SD card (of any size/speed). So the easiest solution I have found to get a clean import:
1. Create a playlist in iTunes
2. Burn it to a CD - MP3 format
3. Install in RNS510
4. Import it to a folder
Clean install with no additional trash files

Hope this helps others having this challenge.
