My Golf VR6 was starting to become mechanically tired, engine blowing oil and a load of other things that were becoming niggling and costly to fix.
I have just bought a 1996 GT TDI, with a 110cv AHF engine, its in great mechanical condition, just needing a suspension bush for its technical inspection. The paint is very faded, so as funds allow it will be repainted in its original mulberry colour. Car has covered a measily 129,000kms, or about 75k in miles. It pulled like a train on way back, but power seems to drop off after a gear change, feels like it looses boost. Need to look at the N75 valve I think.
In the coming weeks I will be taking all the good bits off the VR6, like my coilovers, then starting work on getting some power! I am not new to projects like this, but will probably have some stupid questions!
