My 2000 Beetle TDI just started a new quirk 2 days ago. When starting cold the blue temp light comes on as normal then after about 10 seconds I get a beep, the temp light goes to flashing red for about 90 seconds then back to solid blue for about 5 seconds then out. The coolant level is good, changed the water pump, flushed and replaced coolant along with timing belt etc this spring. I'm thinking electrical, but anyone see something like this before? TIA!
