Limp Mode? P0299 - P0101

I just got done with a bunch of maintenance on my 2004 Jetta TDI PD, BEW;
Timing Belt
Thermostat
Water Pump
Coolant drain/flush/refill
Crankshaft Sensor
Brakes/Rotors

I took the car for a nice long drive to make sure there were no issues...there were a few. I'll post one here and create another thread for the other.

P0299- Turbo underboost condition
P0101- Mass or Volume circuit air flow A circuit range

I'll be driving along @ 55 and need to accelerate. As soon as the rpms increase the car goes into a limp mode where I can't accelerate and I get these codes. I pull over turn the car off then back on and I'm good. If I go along keeping the rpms up I'm ok for a while...if not or I get into a flat cruise it happens all over again . Not every time though.
I do notice quite a bit more smoke out the exhaust. Not sure if it's related or not

Try disconnecting the MAF sensor and letting it run in default.
