Just did a oil and filter service yesterday. While under the car in the very bottom of the drivers side corner the radiator is seeping coolant where the plastic tank and the core meet. I haven't really lost any coolant in the degas bottle yet. Car has 57k now and had dealer replace water pump under warranty last year. 1) is this common to leak here? 2) any chance this is covered under warranty?:D 3) if not covered under warranty any big difference between the $79 radiators or the $300 radiators? Thanks

I don’t know on the warranty question, but i would put a vw radiator back into the car. It is what the car is designed for and with as hot as they are running, i would not risk putting a cheaper radiator in the car.

There are just too many to list....
You first need to determine WHICH radiator you need, there are two.

I would want to get one of the OEM units, Valeo *might* be who makes them both, not sure. The NMS uses some domestic suppliers for some things.

I had the same failure, went to Wal Mart, spent under $5 and bought some radiator stop leak. It held for many months prior to VW buying the thing back.

If you go this route, make sure you get the correct type, as there are several for different Anti Freeze types.

Thanks guys for the replies. I have been lazy and haven't done any more investigation. I definitely wouldn't add stop leak to anything I was planning on keeping though.
