Default New 09 JETTA TDI RED DSG

Here is my wife 09 Jetta TDI DSG.

So far so good, our 02 Jetta is much happer with another TDI inside the garage.

We have to replace our 09 JSW 2.5 (Hit and run).

We couldn't get a 09JSW red/beige with Pano at the local dealer.

But we got a fair price for the 09.

Very sharp!!! I wanted my wife to pick a red Jetta but she wanted platinum gray. Naturally, she now has a platinum gray one. Ah well. The red looks soooo good. Congrats!

I didn't think I would want a red one, but when I went to the dealer to test drive a manual the demo car they had was a salsa red with sunroof. I kinda fell in love with it. They let me drive it around the hills outside of town. Needless to say, it is no longer there and it seems the red manuals go fast around here...

^ What he said! Nice catch if the car just came like that - nice choice if you asked for them to upgrade it!

Car looks great!

I took off the GLI grill from the 2.5 Sportwagen, bring the parts to the dealer and they installed for free.

Future mods:

Fog lights
Euro tailights
17" wheels
No suspension mods, my wife likes it the way it rides right now.

Just did the windows tint, I'll post another pic later.

First time having a red car, but we really like the salsa red color, I would prefer a red one with beige interiors, but that the future wish to replace our 02 tdi for a red/beige wagon (in a couple of years).

Car rides great, 35.5 mpg on the first tank, not bad for city drive only.

Very Cool!

Quick Question about the top / bottom grill. Did the dealer install that for you? or did you install it yourself? I would like to swap my stock chrome grill with the one you have.

Would you mind if i asked how much it cost?

The dealer install the grill top/bottom for me, but you can do it.
It's very easy.

We had a hit and run last year and instead replacing the grill with the regular grill, I had the body shop put the GLI grill on the 09 Sportwagen.

But the Sportwagen never rides OK again and that's when we decided to trade it for a TDI.

That's why the dealer put the GLI grill on the 09 TDI and they put the TDI chrome grill back to the 09 Sportwagen.
