Crafter CR35 Query

Hello All

Can someone tell me if all the Crafter 2.5 TDI engines are physically the same?

Looking at buying a Van with 109ps and wondering if the power/torque can be increased on these relatively easily? Are the compresion ratios different across the different HP models? How do VW create the different powers and torque?

maybe same block...but not the same engine...iirc all have common rail engines but with different power...different power means different turbocharger most likely ,different IC ,different softs, brakes,etc etc

turbo is different, but pnp from the 163hp version..

Rub or anyone, does the Crafter have the aluminium 5cyl. engine in any model? Or is it just Touareg and (?)Transporter(?)
