I went to several dealers today to buy one (TDI Highline 6spd manual) and they told me VW had 8 left in Ontario. Apparently they are really selling well, but dealers are frustrated that they do not have any stock. Unless I take what they have, I'm out of luck until March. What a screwed up company; they want to get to 800k a year in NA, but they won't do it without product.

If this is due to a decision to err on the side of quality, I'm all for it, although frustrated.

Bought One

Well I put my deposit down tonight. My salesman told me 120 days. The shocking part was 60 days transit from TN to Ontario. Considering they ship them from Germany in 90 days, 60 for 1600kms is crazy. They must push them up here instead of using trains.

And this is different from Toyota, Honda, Hyundai? You could order a nice Chrysler 300 I'm sure.

I have no idea if it's different from other brands, it's just a fact so buyers must deal with it...
