TDI harness is not really that complicated once you get into it. The worst part will be the pedal - running wires and mounting.

the "engine" harness remains untouched. what you're concerned with are the interface wires between the powertrain harness and the vehicle... basically one wire turns the ecm off and on but the ecm and control components.are connected to and powered up via the 109 relay. As long as you maintain all those connections when stripping the harness it's pretty straightforward.
