2006 BRM AC Compressor - Differences?

Started having AC issues last Fall.. replaced the High Pressure sensor (What the original VCDS code said), also replaced the RCV on the compressor, and the AC control unit in the dash.. never fixed the issue.

Fast forward to now and I'm revisiting this issue.. found a crashed 2006 Jetta TDI and bought the compressor off it.. replaced the compressor, but it's not the exact replacement.
The original version on my car had the spring clip mounted RSV, this one has the other style.

Same high pressure code, so I replaced it again (replacing the new one I bought last year). This fixed the 00819 High Pressure sensor code!

AC shop filled the Freon and everything.. now I'm getting a code 12 = Compressor OFF: Shut-Off requested by Engine Control. No fault codes...

What is causing this.. Does this version make a difference?
Called O'rileys auto parts and they only have one version..

Thoughts?

Side note: When I do the Output tests to test the compressor, and it shows the compressor as 'ON', I think I feel cold air.. but I cannot get it to turn on normal. The pressure in the Output tests is showing 7-8 BAR.

Sometimes I will see a code saying Refrigerant pressure too low, however the shop said they filled it to spec..

AC Clutch Relay Control Circuit Output test: 3.91-4.23 BAR, no change with it On/Off

Still showing Compressor Code 12 with AC and blower on. With just blower and and not AC, shows 6 - ECON mode. With all off it shows 7, which I believe is normal..

Barnitz, i am having similar issues in my 2006 jetta tdi... And the scanner is showing a Relay code J32. I cant find any diagrams online to show which relay is which. As you stated you replaced the AC control unit in the dash, was this just the dial for hot and cold? Im trying to get my AC to work as well but its just more than a headache. Ive hooked my car up to a Snap On scanner and did an ALL system test and verified via the scanner my fans turn on and work. I have tried replacing the high pressure valve with no luck. I suppose my next step is a compressor, being the snapon tool shows it at 0rpm when the motor is running and ac light is on. Just wanted some insight prior on what you've tried.

When I replaced the AC unit in the dash - I replaced the whole unit that sits under the radio.. Hot/Cold, Blower control, buttons, and vent chooser.
After I replaced the High Pressure sensor the first time, I had an electric shop check all the wiring for the sensor. They said it appeared to be fine, and that the only thing they could think of would be the AC control unit was bad. Turns out the High pressure sensor was just bad.. I think my next step is to put back in my old control unit - thinking it may not be programmed correctly in some way..

What Compressor Code is it showing when you have the blower on and AC on? I would start with that code. I'm getting a code of 12, which isn't as descriptive as the others.

If you put an O'Reilly's compressor in the car, that might be your problem right there. Many times the Chinese garbage they sell doesn't work right out of the box.

I only called O'rileys to see if they had a listing for multiple versions.
The compressor is a Sanden from a 2006 Jetta TDI that got t-boned. The issue is the replacement compressor was the other style. It didn't have the c-clip to remove the RSV.

My current plan is to put back in the original AC control unit in the dash. I don't think there was anything wrong with mine.

If that doesn't fix it, I'm not sure what to do.. I guess then it's time for a new compressor..?

Update:

Replaced the AC control panel in the dash with the Original one from the car - A/C Started working!
It initially threw a code for Low pressure, however I cleared that and it didnt come back.
I drove ~3 hours, mostly at highway speeds yesterday, with working AC. It was 75+ degrees outside.

Today, (55 degrees outside, Ohio right?) I took it back to the shop I have been working with, and they could not get the A/C to turn on. it is giving a constant Code of 299, Low Pressure. The Compressor Cutoff code is 3.
When I check it with VCDS, the Pressure Sensor is showing 0.0 bars, with the car off or running - doesn't matter. My research says that means absolute Vacuum? What would that point to?
