Aftermarket stereo, stop factory bluetooth pairing

Strangest thing. I removed my factory double din stereo because she died. All I ever listened to was through bluetooth. So I took the stereo out and replaced it with a aftermarket deal.

However, every time I start the car, it asks to connect to pair with VW UHF.

How can I turn this off or prevent this. I unpaired it from my phone but keeps popping up at startup.

Thanks, Jason

I believe you have a separate BT module under the passenger seat

You can also go into your phone’s Bluetooth settings and have it ‘forget’ the old Bluetooth connection.

do you have an MDI connector, did you remove it?

I ask because in my Passat NMS, the BT module appears to be right by the MDI connector in the armrest.
