I'm not sure that is entirely true. It seems like its a bit of luck and situationally dependent. Some get through quick, and some, like myself are stuck in purgatory.
Which I did. And here I am, 29 business days after they were accepted. You are correct.
If luck is defined as being able to follow instructions clearly and upload the correct documents the first time.

Comments like these are bristling and serve little purpose without supporting evidence.....Some people claiming delays through no fault of their own are not being 100% truthful.....

Is that so? I've been waiting...WITH documents uploaded correctly. Nothing so far.Hey, with all the complaining about wait times, some people on the forum might not know that the buyback can actually be done quite quickly.
It took me five weeks from my documents being accepted until my offer letter was received. Two days to approve offer letter and it was a month out for the earliest buy back appointment. I did everything correctly. So basically it is a 2 1/2 month process for people with VW credit. Many of the delays, as people have admitted to on this forum, are their own fault for not following instructions correctly.

And yes, some have completed the steps correctly and are facing delays.
Based on my experience today, the car in the article that started this thread should be denied if the buyback rep decision process is objective and not subjective. I am assuming the later, however.

Thinking through hypothetical situations reduces the likelihood of nasty surprises. Most people dislike nasty surprises.Do two hypotheticals make a reality?
I suspect that the guy isn't married. I can just imagine why my wife would have to say if she found out that I was going to spend a whole day stripping a car like this .I'm surprised that someone has that much free time and storage space to strip the car and store the parts.
for what he did, bet it was less then 3 hours.I suspect that the guy isn't married. I can just imagine why my wife would have to say if she found out that I was going to spend a whole day stripping a car like this .
It's really perplexing that the rep is making up new rules....I asked her about all this and she said that they could deduct money from the buyback and condition of the car did matter....
You have great taste in cars! I love the old Toyota in the background. This dude went all out! I'm impressed!
Mine goes back today at 6:00pm. I've already removed all my Whiteline suspension components, car now has no sway-bars haha. I mounted up bald mis-matched tires because mine were brand new. Also removed stereo, all weather floor mats, trunk mat and trunk cover.
I'm getting off work early to remove the entire custom Golf-R front-end... I can't let this sexy hard work go to the junkyard... Should be able to sell it to someone or buy a wrecked car to fix.
This is how she sit's right now.
