SO i thought i had a good idea and drill holes into my air box to let it flow better..... well i have a really cool intake noise but my throttle resonce has dropped, and it feels like i have less bottom end? and with my car the bottom end was what made it fun....

has anyone did the the swiss cheese air box mod, and what were your experiances?

Any automobile mod named after food is a bad idea...

Actually my suggestion is to leave the stock intake alone. by cutting holes in your airbox you are now sucking in HOT engine bay air, rather than cool outside air.

Same problem with the swiss-cheese fuel filter mod. It flows a lot more fuel, but my economy seems to have dropped.

Damn! And my car came that way.

Once you get a new air box, do some testing by switching it back and forth to swiss and non-swiss.

well good news, i dont think it was my airbox that cause the lack in power... we pulled my codes and i had a fault Mass air flow sensor, and the plug had some corrosion on it and we cleaned it off and now my car is back to normal, and has a cool intake noise lol
