i'm parting out a 2006 gli. while pulling it a part notice the front control arms are a cast, and my TDI is a stamped steel. I have found some stuff about aluminum arms. going to have to go home and see if they are cast metal or aluminum. just assumed they were iron.
It looks like the front had a strut replacement very recently, so pulled the whole front end out as one.
Are they cast any better than the stamped steel?
Is there any difference with the steering gear?
Sway bar?
