Default 2015 VW Golf Sportwagen manual fluid change

I turn in my 2012 VW Golf TDI with DSG on July 28 for the buyback and already replaced it with an MK7 Golf Sportwagen TDI manual.

I'm used to doing a 40k interval for the DSG tranny on my MK6 so wondering if anyone can shed light on how often they change the fluid on their manual gearbox in the MK7's? Can't find anything online or in the service manual and "lifetime" seems a bit like BS if you ask me

I changed mine at ~100k miles and it looked fine. I'll probably stick with that interval since it's easy to remember.

I'll probably do the same roughly or may just wait until 120 and do the timing belt at the same time

Per VW, manual tranny fluid is "lifetime". Whose lifetime I'm not sure. Common wisdom is 100K miles or when you replace the clutch.

I had stock fluid in the '10 jetta when it went back with 140K, while i did do the timing belt back in Dec '15 not knowing the fate of buy backs, i felt no reason to change the fluid, shifted fine no notchyness, but again i didn't really romp on the gear box too much.
