whats weird about it, can you please elaborate?
In drive mode stock shift points seem out of time from when I would shift if it were a manual. Sport mode is fun and very agressive. If stock drive mode was between where it is and sport mode it would be perfect.

In S mode the low rpm range is pretty good but it seems to hold the gear alil long if your on the throttle. Town driving in S seems to be pretty good.

I'm not sure if this has been discussed but why would a manual transmission give the DPF+DOC+SCR a longer service life?

3. Cars exceeding 40K mi (DSG) or 70K mi (manual) will get new: Diesel Particulate Filter, Diesel Oxidation Catalyst, and Selective Catalytic Reduction Converter and are not due for any further appointment after the initial Phase 2 appointment.

Ted Hurst, good question and I don’t have an answer for you.

One coincidence is that dealers will be seeing many DSGs (not mine) at 40k for trans service. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it.
