No Heat this moring

Got in my 05 Passat this morning and noticed I had no heat. When I went to turn the dial from cold to hot I noticed that it seamed different. There was always a little pressure when turning it all the way hot. and this morning nothing. I opened the hood and checked the heater core hoses and both are hot. The temp says 190 on the car and I replaced the Thermostat also one year ago give or take a few weeks. The car has had no issues till this morning. Wife said it was getting hot air last night. Could the flap or switch or something broke if so. what part am i looking for or wanting to check.

If the core was plugged, the return hose would not have very much heat in it. Could be a flap control.
