The Dinwiddie event was weak? Or Thornburg? I was at Thornburg and admit that BugOut just didn't feel the same without drag racing. And I hadn't been to BugOut in a LONG time. I'm planning to attend the Dinwiddie event and enter the show. However, I'm showing a GTI these days:
Feel free to stop and say hello. The question I have is whether BugOut 82 will be as successful this fall when it's in NC. Perhaps the idea is to change the crowd a little. I haven't decided if I"m going to that one or not. It depends on finances and how much I enjoy BugOut 81.
The show aspect at Dinwiddie is similar, but no high-level mezzanine to enjoy some cooler air, as was available at Thornburg. The main difference is a drag strip vice a small road course. Here's my write-up from Thornburg last fall: https://stealthgti.com/2017/09/05/bugout-80/
Bug out at Dinwiddie was ok. Not a lot of drag racers, think weather looking not good. No really outstanding show cars like 2 years ago. Someone said there was a big VW event in Reading Pa. on Memorial Day so maybe a lot went there?
