Is it some what possible? I'm thinking about buying an 04 golf PD 5 spd. Instead of the cam and followers replacement (if it ever needs it) I was wondering if a ve motor can be put in? or maybe just the head and injection pump along with maybe a new ecu.
thanks

... None :S
Sounds like too much work to me, to change the whole engine harness, computer, reprogram the instrument cluster.... When the correct engine is available.

Or if you pick up the car cheap enough, just get a whole new head. Lifters/cam/with injectors. Then you just slap it on and go.

In states with emissions testing, there might be legal reasons why you can't put an older engine in a newer chassis.
