I just love this shot into the snow...

Edited Feb 11 for size... That one was the low beams. I thought I would add the following city and high beams respectively.

I've been wonderin about this myself.. I have a 21" monitor and they look great, but what size should I be posting? That one is 1600 x 1200. Would 800 x 600 be a good size for general consumption?

none in the fleet (99.5 Golf RIP, 96 B4V sold)
what I have been doing lately (I use 19 and 21 inchers at work)
is to save two file formats

one in 600x480 ish size and one full size

and post them like this:

[ url=http://pick.my.nose.org/largeimage.jpg ] [ img ] http://pick.my.nose.org/smallimage.jpg [ /img ] [ /url ]

it works pretty well - that way big monitor folks can look at the big images

I also tend to save the small jpegs at compression #3 adn the large ones at #8

Excellent idea GeWilli! Perhaps this should be in the faq for posting pictures, unless there is a fear there will be too many pics on the server. Which reminds me... time for a donation to Fred...
