Anyone running a BEW lower intercooler hose on an ALH with a VNT-17?

I picked up one of these on the description that it might be a better solution to the adaptor I was previously running on my vnt-17

Supposedly it fits an ALH pancake pipe to a VNT-17 but.

It seems a bit stretched /twisted when installed, and it's also a little too close for comfort to the power steering line.

Is anyone using this in their setup or knows anything about this application?

I just welded on the VNT15's nipple after wacking the convoluted mess that requires the adapter. Never had to look at it again...
