2013 TDI Auto Transmission Towing

Just bought a new 2013 Tdi Sportwagen with "auto" transmission.
Told dealer sales person that I would want an OEM tow package installed
He said okay and orders it for later install ( ~ $ 850 US)
Went home and read all the owners manual the next day
Found in manual that tow install voids warrantee on engine and transmission
.....
Did more research and found many CMO ie UK VW web sites list towing okay
...
Anyone have a tow package installed on the 2013 tdi Sportswagen with DSG auto 6 speed transmission ?

I am surprised any NA dealer would install an OEM VW towbar. I highly doubt that you're getting a Westfalia installed for that price...

If it is installed by a dealer, they can't void your warranty. That makes absolutely no sense...

Dealer installed tow kit

Brent, my dealer did the same for me PLUS threw in a 5 year 100K mile unconditional warranty for no charge. I haven't had the nerve to try towing with it yet...
