Recently I did the VAGCOM EGR adaptation and turned my egr all the way down. When I did this the car started accelerating a lot harder and faster. Almost no turbo lag. Has changing the egr increased my boost? I thought the adaptation was only changing how much the egr opened? and coincidentally recently i have noticed that my egr is now leaking from the front vent hole.

when you reduce EGR flow, you increase metered fresh air flow. More air increases maximum fuel quantity. Those give MORE POWER! *grunt*

No, but your fuel economy will go down if you mash the pedal. NOx will be worse, but smoke will be reduced, and intake clogging will become less of a problem. EGT shouldn't go up too much, and sustained boost should be mostly unchanged. Just make sure the MAP doesn't exceed 2250mbar at 3000 RPM 100% load.

Puking oil from the vent? Maybe, maybe not. Change the value back to test. Mine does this anyway, and it's within factory specs. They just seem to go bad eventually.
