Volkswagen release this statement this morning.

November 3, 2016 Dear Dealer Partners,

Today the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California held a status conference regarding our affected 3.0L TDI V6 vehicles.
As noted by Judge Breyer today, we are making substantial progress towards reaching an approved resolution.
The Court has now scheduled a status conference on November 30 for the parties to report the results of their discussions, and has ordered that further details remain confidential at this time.

I am pleased to report that the 2.0L TDI Settlement Program is now underway. This program is unprecedented in terms of its size and scope. To date we have had over 370,000 registrants on our settlement website, or in other words, just over a week into a two year program, 75% of class members have already registered. Our goal is to make the process as seamless as possible for our customers and dealer partners and we have increased call center staffing and boosted the capacity of our servers to help cope with the extremely high demand. The teams have been working tirelessly to make necessary adjustments and continually improve the process. We expect that the first customer appointments will be scheduled with settlement specialists over the next few weeks at dealerships across the country. You are an integral part of this process and I would like to thank you for your support and your partnership in making this program a success.

Finally, we continue to work closely with our regulators on an approved emissions modification for affected 2.0L TDI engine vehicles. We will continue to update you as there are additional details to share.
Once again I would like to thank you for your hard work, support and dedication.

Best Regards, Hinrich J. Woebcken President and CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc.
