Hi, I just put a deposit down on a new Sportwagen 2014. I am really excited, have been thinking about this ALL summer, and posted here a bunch. Got various advise. In the end it seemed like going new was the best decision. I decided Fit - too small, and Subaru - wasn't feeling it really.
Got it for around 24.5k before tax and tags. Dark grey with black interior. Anything I should know as a newbie? I want to take care of the car well, have it last for a long long time! It is a manual trans basic model.

Use the proper motor oil.
Ensure that no one ever puts gasoline in it (don't loan the car to anyone, if you do maybe have a locking fuel cap and don't give out the key to cap).
