Ok so here is what I have..2006 Jetta BRM...new cam and lifters as well as timing belt. Letting it run and warm up after cam install...start to rev it up after a bit and it blows off the tube at the turbo. Reset the tube and restart..starts to idle rough, blow smoke, and blows the tube off again. Would a malfunctioning egr valve or clogged cooler cause backpressure to build up and blow the tube off. Also what values would i be looking for on the egr and such thru vcds? FYI it's almost as if its getting choked up by either fuel or exhaust..Thanks in advance as i am scratching my head.:confused::confused::confused:

Ended up being a turbo with the vanes stuck closed...took it off and apart and cleaned it. Now the car runs like a champ.
