98 Gmc 2500 4wd extended cab sb, 6.5 with 165k, excellent shape.

My other diesel is a boat. Kubota 950cc tractor engine.

2011 RAM 2500 crew cab, 8' bed with a Cummins 6.7 . . . It has also been issue free . . . . and does 20MPG on the open road, with stock emissions.

Just drive 2k miles round trip to Barstow cali to pick up my govplanet military auction win- a sweet smooth quiet 10K 4 cylinder diesel genset for home backup power! MEP803A for anyone looking for one.
Came with a full tank of JP8 fuel, its like old school ultra high sulphur- the exhaust is like 1980's caterpillar smell and a solid aluminum trailer with like new Humvee tires with the whiskers still on them!

It was a 2006 Jetta TDI in black. With TDtuning 40hp tune, water/meth injection, drop in filter, better pads and fluid, and other things like HIDs, LED upgrades etc... great little car. Sold it to my brother in law.

Here is my single cab 12 valve. Mechanical upgrades:
Fuel plate, 15 degrees, Marine 6bt injectors, Boost elbow, Goerend Transmission with low stall converter, disk brake dana 70, box brace, redhead box with only 12 turns stop to stop vs 15.

Of course. that's any modified diesel. they'll hit 1400 bone stock. I always preach gauges before chip for that reason

How heavy was that Hoe? Looks like 20K including tong weight

When will be see diesel engines without the use of urea injection or others to meet the clean act requirements?

I hope soon as a Atkinson cycle diesel (Toyota Prius design) would completely eliminate nox as the computer can change the displacement and compression on the fly by holding a intake valve open thus reducing compression without changing the fuel to air ratio.

The excavator was 13,500 lbs. the trailer, im guessing is like 4-5,000. So around 18,000lb total weight.
I would recommend the same thing lol. The new body style trucks have better interiors and more upgrade-ability.

Dodoma, the problem with diesel engines, is that they are scored (emissions wise) on two parameters, Particulate Matter (PM) and Oxides of Nitrogen NOx.
Some interesting things happen at the tailpipe when you change injection strategies.
NOx and PM have a direct, but inverse relationship to combustion temperature.
When combustion temperatures are lower, PM increases and NOx decreases.
When combustion temperatures increase, PM decreases, but NOx increases.
With the urea injection system, Urea is injected into a catalyst that breaks NOx into ammonia and nitrogen. The Urea breaks down the ammonia in an an ammonia oxidation catalyst to hydrogen and oxygen? I think? So the only things coming out of the exhaust are water, and nitrogen.

The talk of new diesel engines is doing away from the DPF (particulate filter) but relying heavily on urea. If you increase the injection temperatures hugely, you can burn off all the PM, but have raised NOx, using more urea.

As for the atkinson engine, all I could find on that is just volumetric efficiency. No emissions changes.
