Does anyone know how to remove the drawer under the driver's seat. There's something behind the drawer in our new Golf that is preventing it from going all of the way in and latching. I can see some papers behind the drawer but can't get to it.

You are better off taking whole seat out. Only 4 bolts and you are set.

Its very easy. Pull the seat forward to reach the rear 2 hex screws on the back side out then push the seat backward then take 2 hex bolts out. You would be able to take the seat out of the car so you can have full access to the underside drawer.

I don't think it's the legality that was being face-palmed; I'd have to agree.
I'm liking this under-seat drawer and will no doubt be able to find other/better uses for it.

You removed the audio amp under the seat, right? The drawer won't fit as is with it in place on an SEL

I have no room in the armrest thanks to the stupid MDI interface design which I cannot load it in there so therefore under seat drawer is my logical choice. My glovebox is full due to camera battery in there for dash cam and such.

My old 2011 JSW, drop it in the armrest console there and be done with it.

Door pockets are full of work supplies unfortunately. Florida requires the weapon to be placed in enclosed space.

When you remove the seat and if you unplug the electrical connectors, you may get an airbag fault. You will need VCDS or a VW appropriate scanner to reset this alarm. I found this out personally.

Best to unplug battery before doing the procedure. Sorry forgot to mention that as I was having migraines for several days.
