ALH cooling system

guys does anyone know how too bleed the cooling system on ALH?
my temp gauge is al over the shop.
things ive done .
changed stat and temp sender sensor

It should bleed itself I believe. You might check to make sure the tee in the top rad hose is positioned properly. The return to the reservoir must be on top.

the top rad hose just feels like its full of air... oh maybe it is self
bleed, i must have a dodgy gauge or wire .

None - did own '01 and '02 Jetta TDI
Sound like you have a bad coolant sensor. I know you say you replaced it, but did you replace it with a reputable brand? I hear that the non-oe ones are crap (including the thermostats too)...

Spend the extra $20 and get a good one.

(or have fun trying to find the flaky wiring...)

i got it in motorfactors mate....
anyway all seems too be working fine now i gave the cluster a few KNOCKS!! working fine now.
