TDIFest 2016 is being hosted in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin at The Lodge at Leathem Smith.

All hotel reservations must be made by phone. When calling, tell them you're with TDIFest and they will help you create a reservation. Be sure to decide what type of room you'd like and familiarize yourself with the deposit and cancelation policies listed below.

There are several different types of rooms, listed below...

Economy rooms:
There are 15 economy rooms in a separate building from the Lodge (on the same property). These rooms are priced at $109 per night at single and double occupancy. All of these rooms have a balcony/deck and are configured with a king bed (3 rooms) or two queen beds (11 rooms). There is also one room with a single queen bed. Guests above double occupancy will be charged $15 per person, per night.

Economy rooms are expected to sell out quickly. If you're on a budget, please reserve your room ASAP.

Main lodge rooms:
There are 30 regular rooms in the main lodge. These rooms are priced at $149 per night at single and double occupancy. All of these rooms have a balcony and are configured with either a king bed (7 rooms) or two queen beds (23 rooms). Guests above double occupancy will be charged $15 per person, per night.

Suites:
The main lodge has 12 suites. Suites are priced at $219 per night for single and double occupancy and feature a separate bedroom with whirlpool bath, a king bed, a queen pull-out sleeper sofa, a deck, a fireplace, and a kitchenette. Guests above double occupancy will be charged $15 per person, per night. Splitting a suite with multiple people is a great way to save money while having privacy.

Free Suite Upgrade Raffle
We are offering a free suite upgrade to one lucky winner of our early bird registration raffle. Anyone booked in an economy or standard room AND registered for the event by the end of may will automatically be entered into the raffle. Event registration will open in May (exact timing TBD), but hotel reservations can be made at any time between now and then.

Pet friendly:
The resort has a limited number of pet-friendly rooms available. Please call to make a pet-friendly reservation.

Taxes, Fees, & Fine Print

Taxes
Rates are per-unit, per-night and all rates are subject to the current Wisconsin State sales tax of 5.5%.

Deposit
A 50% deposit is charged to your card when making your reservation. This deposit is refundable up to 72 hours in advance with a $10 cancelation fee.

Cancellation Policy
Reservations cancelled between date of booking and 72 hours from date of arrival will forfeit a $10.00 cancellation fee that will be charged to the authorized credit card. Cancellations within 72 hours of arrival forfeit the entire amount of the reserved hotel stay which will be charged to the authorized credit card. No refund for late arrivals, early departures, no-shows, or downgrades.

Minimum Stay
50% of our rooms have a 2-night minimum and the other 50% have a 3-night minimum. Due to the size of the venue and the anticipated size of the event, we cannot accommodate single night stays.

TDIFest is a three-day event, and most of our attendees choose to stay for all three days. We understand if your schedule or budget doesn't permit you to take this long of a vacation. If that's the case, we recommend arriving on Saturday morning for activities, and staying at the hotel on Saturday and Sunday nights.

☞ NOTE: If you plan on staying for two nights, please reserve early, as this option will disappear if it sells out.

Pet Policy
Pets are not allowed inside the resort with the exception of a limited number of pet-friendly rooms. Pets are welcome on the property and in TDIFest areas of the parking lot. A cleaning fee may be assessed to individuals who do not honor the pet policy.

Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited in all public building. All indoor areas of the hotel and conference center are non-smoking. You may smoke on your balcony/deck and on the property grounds. Please be respectful and dispose of smoking materials in trash cans and ashtrays.

I think that just about covers everything, but if you have any questions, feel free to ask here in this thread! :)

I should also mention that each guest gets a complimentary breakfast (with full made-to-order omelette bar) each morning. For Saturday's speaker breakfast, there will be an enhanced buffet at a nominal charge.
