Hi I’ve got a 1.6tdi cayc. It’s got really bad white smoke and whole car is vibrating. I unplugged the injectors one by one when I unplugged no 4 the smoke instantly stopped. I changed the injector with a new one coded it in and it’s exactly the same , vibrating and running rough and white smoke. When unplug number 4 smoke stops.
There is 0 fault codes scanned with Delphi. All the live data values look ok. Fuel pressure is 289bar on idle and that’s actual which is much the same as specified. I’m starting to think it’s a lifter holding the valves open and hence unburnt fuel? Or certainly more of a mechanical problem?
Anyone seen anything like this before? Thanks
