Ok im new to tdis but have owned numurous vws. I just bought a 2002 jetta auto with 219k miles. I know the autos are not well liked but my wife CANNOT drive a man trans no matter how much I try with her. Anyways, the car had a rebuilt title because of a drivers side rear collision which was repaired looks and drives fine. To pass inspection to title and register the car in GA it has to be inspected. The inspector came out and said the Airbag light was not coming on, so I took the cluster apart and noticed that someone (PO) had broke the LED out for the airbag. I hooked up another LED and sure enough the light stayed on. So I guess what im looking for is possibly buying a vag-com or finding someone in the area that has one to find out what the fault is. And also maybe some advice on what to check before I take it in to be looked over at tge dealership which I do not really want to do. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks
