Default Random thought of the day

Home schooling and working from home:

Well I’m keeping the miles down on the passat. Only transportation: daily bike rides for Physical education class.

Lol! My passat doesn’t mind sitting, the beetle is hard to start after a few days.

I'm in my first week of self isolation, not allowed outside. The OEM battery died over a year ago and I put a physically larger and higher specs AGM battery into the Passat.
Temps are from above freezing to about 40deg. It'll be interesting if I have any trouble starting the car 10 days from now?

The recycling center is closed until further notice. I can’t even use that as an excuse to fire the Passat up.

well you can always drive around and throw your empties out your car, it seems like a common practice around my neighborhood.

Fuel Economy: 41ish mpg post fix
Default

Working from home except one day a week. Fueling frequency has gone from once a week to once every five weeks! Tolls dropped from $25/week to $5/ week. One of the few good things to come from this pandemic.

Stay well & safe, John

I paid the Passat off so I could drop the insurance. I don't need the 42 mpg going no place.

We’re also going fishing and chopping wood for our fire pit. My young son says that also counts for PE. The fishing trips are really racking up the miles.

Because the outdoors are not big enough to maintain the 6 foot spacing?

Well at least you have public land. Not so much here in Kansas.

I honestly couldn't tell you why my Governor does what he does. He closed public lands, so there's no "at least that."

If I had a Chick-fil-e in my town, I’d reduce my monthly miles by 75%.
