My Audi 80 has had a U/S odometer for some time now, which is great for the eventual resale value but I've decided it would be for the best to replace it with a working example.
Anyway, i bought a replacement instrument binnacle seeing as there were a few other bits not working on the binnacle currently fitted to my car. The only problem is my current mileage is round about 190,000 and the replacement odometer is reading 225,000. I could live with it reading more but id really like to clock the new one to be nearer the mark than it currently is.
Basically what I'm asking is how do you roll back the miles on the speedo/odometer?
I've taken it all apart to the point where i've got the speedo unit separate from everything else, but i dont know where to go from there.
