Coincidence? Brake light switch replaced ABS warning light on next day

Coincidence? I had the glow plug replacement recall corrected and finally the brake light switch replaced. Either that day or the next the ABS warning light comes on along with the arrow in a circle surrounding the exclamation point.

Brakes definitely not feeling the same. The light went out for a couple of minutes brakes seemed normal but lights came back on very quickly and again feel different.

Thoughts?

Not well rehearsed with vw's specifically yet but I would imagine that the switch could be wrong. Its possible that its not sending a power to the computer. I know that if an ignition wire or acc wire isn't energised properly it could trigger the abs light.
