I have one that works for ALH's and before, no CAN tho. I'm in regina/saskatoon on a regular basis.

I just got an 05 Golf and would like to try one out before I buy, or buy a share in one. If you have plans to be in S'toon and are willing to spend the time, PM me and we can meet somewhere. Thks.

Sadly neither one of our interfaces will work with your golf. Its a PD motor requiring a CAN connection. I should've spent the extra and got it but... I didn't.

The Micro-Can is the cheapest option for you.

I do believe its worth it, if you're going to be modding or doing your own work. If you just want to scan and clear codes there are cheaper alternatives.

Pretty neat tool though.

If you just wanted to see it work, I could show you with my car some time. I'm in S'toon during the week.

I have the new vag-com that works on the CAN-Bus. I'm usually around on weekends

Great.
I'll send you a PM when I have some spare time on a weekend and maybe we can get together and play with it.
Thanks

I will have one by next week that support the CAN-Bus, I will just need to figure out how to use it but shouldn't be difficult.

Yea, but he's got a Golf.
2005.5+ Jetta's have CAN
2004+ Golf's have CAN.
Golf's always seem to get the new platform first.

I think you can still do basic OBD-II scans and some others but most functions won't work.
