Default TT Shift Frame AND Boot

This is attempt number one. It definitely needs a better looking knob and I still have some trimming/fitting/swearing to do at it to make it just right, but here we go:

Opinions on shift knobs are certainly welcome.

The frame and ring are specially designed to fit on top of the standard MK4 center console. It is very difficult to get them new as they are on back order from germany. It is debatable as to whether they are still being made at all. You can find it here: http://www.ecstuning.com/stage/edpd/...er%20Accessory

Generally speaking, you need to keep your eye on the vortex classifieds to find one. I got lucky and found one for fairly cheap.

The boot is directly from a MK1 Audi TT. The problem is that the base of the boot barely overlaps with the underside of the frame. I was able to glue it into place, but it is a little delicate. I need to find some very thin and pliable rubber sheeting to create a lip around the base of the boot to make it more stable. I am also having some minor issues with the shifter and boot pushing the frame out of place when throwing down into 2nd and 4th. I think I just need to align things a little more precisely.

Does anyone know if the shift linkages can be adjusted to move the throw upward a little?

Modified her with a Drivers Edition knob and chopped about 1.5 inches off of the shifter rod:
