1996 B4 TDI: I want to rebuild my clutch master cylinder. Where can I buy seals for this? And also for the clutch slave cylinder seals as well... both are only sold as a complete new unit the places I've looked. Please advise, thanks!

I have never heard of anyone selling the seals to re-build the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder.

The new parts might be a little expensive but they do last a long time, just make sure that you get good quality parts. It's a pain to replace the master cylinder and a bad/defective slave cylinder can kill your clutch.

Just my $0.02 :)

I knew a guy:rolleyes: with this same problem and he just would not keep his foot on the clutch at stoplights and if he:rolleyes: kept it in to the point it would stay down, he:rolleyes: would just pull his toe under it and pull it up. Dont get stuck in gear when this happens though; the car in front of you wont be very forgiving.

My very first post!

Which are shot? master, slave or both?
