FS: black on black 96 Passat sedan, Vancouver WA
170k miles. Looks great, runs great, needs nothing, clean title. It's been well cared-for and all maintenance is up to date - next scheduled work is an oil change in 7000 miles. Asking $3000.
Work and new parts in the last year, for most of which I have receipts: timing belt (with correct OEM parts), engine oil (with correct VW 505.00 synthetic oil), gear oil (with correct VW G070), starter, all brake pads and full fluid flush, all filters including fuel and cabin air, front windshield, engine vacuum lines including ECU line, intake/EGR cleaning, rear struts, all front control arm bushings, and some more.
Body has no rust, no functional damage. Some cosmetic damage under the left taillight (see photos). Paint is decent, clearcoat not peeling, some blemishes. All windows and doors work properly, except the passenger key tumbler.
Interior is very clean, little wear, never smoked in. Leather in great shape except front passenger seat bottom (see photos). Heat works, AC works, radio doesn't. Headliner stays up. Upgraded with a glovebox.
Mechanicals are as solid and reliable as it gets. Starts quick and strong even in the winter, runs flawlessly, no fault codes, leaks nothing, smokes nothing, consumes no oil or coolant. I've recorded about 38mpg in stop-n-go with AC blasting, about 40 with more highway use. Tires have good tread.
No serious issues or needs, but some imperfections. Could use an alignment. Shifter has some slop. Has a front-end noise when steering in reverse. Rear brake caliper hardware is worn. Trunk carpet sags.
