Exterior auto dimming mirrors

From reading other threads I have learned a bit about power folding mirrors and the auto dimming or "antidazzle" mirrors. From what I've read people have got the power folding to work on the exterior mirrors using European or Passat parts. And people have gotten the interior rear view mirror auto dim function to work. Has anyone made frankenmirrors with both power folding and auto dimming? I'd like to try this and hoping for some knowledge, especially about the wiring.

I always seem to have some idiot behind me with enough candle power to light a stadium. Dimming the side mirrors would be awesome.

When I had my 2002 Jetta I bought some blueish tinted replacement mirrors for both outside mirrors off eBay. A much cheaper alternative and about 20 minute install time.
