Which Version of Vag EDC Suite

Have a couple of questions and hoping you guys can help me out with a answer. I have two cars a 02 Bora and a 05 Jetta I was wondering if I would run the Vag EDC15P Software on both of the car or if the newer one would require EDC16? Is there a way I can look up the ECU model and figure out which program is corresponds with?

I know in vcds the 02 you can use adaption and the 05 you cant at all.

Do they make a Vag EDC16 software thats like the EDC15P software? This software seems pretty easy to use so it would be nice just to use a different version.

If not can you flash a EDC16 computer with EDC15P software? Seems like that might cause a issue.
